1. About this policy

Unless you have set your browser to refuse cookies, the Site may issue cookies when you visit. This Policy covers the public Site, including forms, the homepage assistant, and (when connected) newsletter signup. It does not replace a client services agreement.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file that a website sends to your computer or other internet-connected device to identify your browser or to store information or settings. Similar tools include pixels, tags, and local storage. They can remember a session, keep the Site secure, or — if we enable them later and you consent where required — help us understand how the Site is used.

3. How to control and delete cookies

You can control and delete cookies in your browser. You can remove cookies already on your device and set most browsers to block new ones. If you do that, you may have to set some preferences again each visit, and some features of the Site may not work.

Cookie settings are usually under Options, Settings, or Preferences. Browser help pages:

Independent guides: allaboutcookies.org. To opt out of a specific third party collecting data about your browsing, use that company’s own tools (for example, an analytics opt-out) if we add that vendor later.

You can also record category choices on our Cookie Preferences page. Essential technologies stay on. Marketing (including planned HubSpot tags) stays off unless you allow it.

4. Types of cookies

First-party and third-party

Whether a cookie is “first” or “third” party refers to the domain that places it. First-party cookies are set by ethicscode.ai. Third-party cookies are set by another domain through our Site (for example, a font, hosting, CRM, or analytics provider).

Duration

  • Session cookies last for a browser session. They are typically deleted when you close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device for the time set in the cookie and are sent again when you return to the Site that set them.

We do not use so-called specialist or advertising cookies on the Site today. If that changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, collect consent first.

5. What cookies we use

Today the Site is a marketing site. We use cookies and similar storage that are needed to run and protect it (for example, HTTPS, load balancing, and abuse limits on our contact and chat APIs). We do not currently load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or a marketing tag manager.

When you use the homepage assistant, we process the messages you type so we can reply. Rate limiting may use your IP address on our servers; that is not a browser cookie. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

If you subscribe to emails and we connect HubSpot (or another email platform), that provider may set first- or third-party cookies when you interact with signup, preference, or unsubscribe pages. We will describe those cookies here when they go live.

Google Fonts are loaded from Google to display type on the Site. Google may receive technical data such as your IP address. Their practices are described in Google’s own privacy documentation.

6. Privacy Policy

We want you to know what information we collect and how we treat it. Read the Privacy Policy for rights, retention, and how to contact us.

7. Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after an update means the revised Cookie Policy applies.
